Creative Laser Cutting was a foundational course made for those looking to explore the process of laser cutting as a tool within a creative context.
During this course we used the FB Series laser cutter at the Edinburgh Open Workshop and the ETHOS CAD drawing programme to explore the following:
- Basic induction to CAD drawing
- Etching and rastering images and designs
- Laser etching and relief printing
- Flat pack to 3-D designs
- Textile experiments
Leaving this course - you have the skills and confidence to work on your own personal laser projects using any basic CAD programme.
